Cambridge youngsters working to make life better for their community are being urged to compete for a national award by the city’s MP, Julian Huppert.
Julian is supporting the Philip Lawrence Awards which are open to young people aged 11 to 20 and recognise the outstanding contribution to their communities.
Huppert swaps the Commons for the Cam
MP Julian Huppert will take a break from the day job tomorrow (Thursday, August 5) to become a punt operator on the River Cam.
Julian will set off from Trinity Punts to take a trip along the river to fulfill an auction promise.
MP helps to keep UK as world leader in medical research

Julian, Vice-Chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Medical Research, hosted the event and brought together MPs and representatives from charities and health industries to showcase the UK’s excellent medical research base.
Huppert feeds the tigers to support conservation
August 2, 2010Cambridge MP Julian Huppert will be feeding the tigers at Shepreth Wildlife Park on Wednesday (August 4) to support an international conservation effort.
He will visit the Royston park to take part in the annual Tiger Day which raises money for wild tiger conservation.
