CND call to government over Trident backed by Huppert

Campaigners fighting to scrap Trident will take their case to the government today (Tuesday) with the backing of Cambridge MP, Julian Huppert.
 
Members of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament will hand in a letter to David Cameron calling on him to reduce the UK’s warhead stockpile and work towards a world without nuclear weapons.

Huppert moves to progress adult autism strategy

Huppert seeks reassurances over housing promise

MP Julian Huppert is seeking reassurance that the government plans to press ahead with promises made under the Housing Revenue Account Review which could allow Cambridge to keep all the money it raises from council house rents.
 
Cambridge City Council had been told it would be able to hold on to £11 million it had been paying to the government and could spend the money on repairing homes or building new ones.

MP calls for public inquiry into guided bus fiasco

Cambridge MP Julian Huppert has called on the government to hold a public inquiry into the Guided Bus fiasco.
 
He has asked Transport Secretary, Philip Hammond, to scrutinise the project and allow residents to have their say after Cambridgeshire County Council refused to hold an inquiry.

Defence Secretary, Dr Fox also said that Julian has already shown on day one “a promising parliamentary career”.
